Chic Brookhaven Residence

Sometimes open is just too open. This original home had an open floorplan with columns between all the rooms. We squared off the front two rooms to enclose them with cased openings to create cozier, chicer spaces. There is now a formal foyer, cocktail room, and dining room. The space between the cocktail room and the dining has an elegantly executed millwork pass through housing a bar cabinet, bookcases, and china storage and display. The primary bathroom was a full renovation from eighties brass to updated and classic. The powder room barely had space for a sink and toilet. The custom-designed wall-mounted stone vanity with incorporated sink now celebrates the small space and provides a special focal point.
