Virginia Highlands Gallery Home

Originally, the scope of this project was exclusively furnishings, but once we got into the space planning portion of our design phase, it became clear that some minor renovations would need to be made to make the very most out of the space in this absolutely darling home.  Our client’s passion for, professional connection with, and collection of art made every wall critical - not just for circulation but for showcasing a gallery of special and stunning pieces.  In addition to new millwork, a whole new powder room, paint, and a few wall switch-a-roos, we layered in new furnishings, fabrics, and accessories amidst some already treasured pieces and breathed new life (well, fabric) into a few beloved upholstered pieces.  The resulting space is a dynamic and comfortable gallery that the clients can grow with for years to come.
